Imagine

Just imagine for a minute, your friend calls you up one day and says, "Hey, I've got concert tickets to __________(fill in the blank with your favorite singer). Do you want to go?" Of course you say yes, and rearrange your schedule so that you can go. You are excited and bursting at the seams that you will finally get a chance to see your favorite artist in action. They are sooooo talented, they can sing and really touch your emotions with their music. You get all dressed up and the whole way there you are jumping for joy. You listen to the concert, then it is over, and for the next few weeks you are telling ALL your friends about your experience.

Now, just imagine for a minute, your friend calls you up one day and says, "Hey, do you want to get together tonight and have a bible study?" How excited do you get then??? What's the difference here? My blogging friend Emptybelly brought up a good point, the things that are important to us are really not so important to God. Why don't we jump for joy at the opportunity to get to see God in action, and it doesn't just last for a couple of hours, it lasts for an eternity. Plus we get to have a real relationship with Him, not just from a far. How many people do we tell about the "show" that God has provided? Didn't He create the earth, sea, animals, humans, etc................................? Isn't that more wonderful and awesome than a persons singing or entertaining ability? I think so.

Rock on God, see you at the concert.

Kristy
