Church Or No Church That Is The Question?

Hebrews 11:24-25

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

What does this mean? Do we have to attend a "CHURCH" to be a Christian? What are our responsibilities when it comes to fellowship with other Christians? It's definitely something that racks my brain frequently!

A cristian is not someone who preaches the word 1-day a week and then screws people over the other 6-days. It seems that this happens alot. To take advantage of someones generocity until they find something else to fill their time or to abandon someone who has constantly helped them when times get tough is not a christian. Where I come from, that person would be a sponge, freeloader, bum and a really has a lot to learn about being a christian.

Anonymous, you sound like you have been burnt by a "christian" before and pretty badly. Do you want to share your experience? We have all been burnt, and we have all been on the giving end as well.

To answer your question, I feel that religion, any religion is a private matter. I don't feel a person has to go to Church to believe or practice any religion. Church, to me, seems more like religious validation for the public eye, moreso nowadays more than ever.

As far as fellowship with other Christians, or Muslims, or Buddhists, whatever your religion may be, I think that fellowship would naturally occur through who you choose to associate with on a daily basis (outside of work of course, not everyone gets to choose their coworkers).
